I know we’re supposed to be writing (and we are, promise), but we also read as much as we can to keep up the inspiration.
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne is probably the sexiest book I’ve ever read. Let me be clear that I don’t read ‘sexy’ books as a general rule of thumb. Straight romances are not my thing, nor is Fifty Shades of Grey (for soooo many reasons.)
That being said The Hating Game was mentioned on Instagram and without knowing anything about it, except that it had rave reviews, I checked it out.
It was a fun read-quick, and delightfully well-written.
And did I mention sexy?
But classy sexy, not raunchy sexy.
So actually sexy.
Since I’ve never used the word ‘sexy’ this many times in a day, let alone in a 10-minute time frame, I’m going to move on.
Here’s a snippet:
“What are you imagining? Your expression is filthy.”
“Strangling you. Bare hands.” I can barely get the words out. I’m huskier than a phone-sex operator after a double shift.
“So that’s your kink.” His eyes are going dark.
“Only where you’re concerned.”
Both his eyebrows ratchet up, and he opens his mouth as his eyes go completely black, but he does not seem to be able to say a word.
It is wonderful.”
― Sally Thorne,
I think you get the idea.
We’ll keep you posted on other possible reads to add to your reading list.
Happy Monday, loves!
