Books Read//First Half of 2018

Layne Jamesbooks to read3 Comments

For those of you who don’t know, my goal is to read 52 books a year. I rarely accomplish this, but still I adore having goals. Between grad school, working full-time, and trying to get our book launched (publication date is January 22, 2019 – mark your calendars!), reading has often taken a back burner in life this year.

That being said, in the midst of a full schedule, it is also my favoured escape.

Since we’re halfway through the year, I thought I’d share what I’ve read to date. Rather than giving them all ratings, I simply ***** my faves. And, yes, I shamelessly gave Remember Us (by Lindsay and me) and We Were All Drowning (by me) five stars because why not.

Speaking of which, if you want to read Remember Us, be sure to add it to your Want to Read shelf on Goodreads, HERE!

And now without further ado, what I’ve been reading in 2018:

  1. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck – Mark Manson

  1. With all that is going on, you have read quite a number of books. Well done! Like you, Beartown is one of my favourite books of 2018. I recently read the sequel and I am just in awe. Frederik is an amazing writer. I have read a few other books on your list too.

I hope the reminder of your year goes equally well. All the best and congratulations n your book. Best of luck as you get read for publication date.
