Books Read 2018

Layne Jamesbook review4 Comments

As you may remember, I (Layne) have a goal of reading 52 books a year. I’ve been attempting this since I graduated university, but it isn’t as easy to find time to read in adult life and most years I would only read around 38 books. It’s not like when I was a kid when I easily read more like 100++ books a year. Back then, I would fall asleep every single night reading. I would read when I woke up, in the car, with a headache. I basically lived in my stories. No bills or errands or drama. THOSE WERE THE DAYS.

ANYWAY. In the last few years, I’ve prioritized reading in a different way and keep hitting my goal of reading one book a week. I’m not gonna lie – I’m even a little proud I met the goal this year with the insanity of grad school, work, and getting a baby. It was the trifecta of time-sucking mania. Nevertheless, I persevered and squeaked in with 54 reads for the year. I’ve rated my top reads with four and five stars accordingly.
